Some mounting plates adjust by turning a single screw. If it is still swinging open on its own repeat this process with the bottom hinge. If the door still won t stay open do the same with the lower hinge. Use a screw gun to take the cabinet door off the hinge.
Simply turn this screw counterclockwise to reduce the distance and straighten the door. This is fine in most cases but in the corner where two cabinets meet the doors open too far and the handle from one door bangs into the face of the other door which leaves a mark. Removing the middle hinge pin allows the door to stay in place via the top and bottom hinges. Slightly tap the screwdriver with the hammer until a gap forms between the head of the pin and top of the hinge.

Use a mix of 1 tablespoon of mild liquid soap and 4 cups of hot water to wipe the façade and exterior of the wayward drawer. Stick the shim loosely between the door and the jamb to hold the door in position when you drive out the upper hinge pin.
