Miter cut the front piece to length and nail in place against the mounting board with the bottom edge even with the top of the cabinet frame. Measure and mark the molding with the length of the front piece of baseboard starting from the deepest part of the 45 degree cut. The crown molding is not nailed directly to the wall cabinets.
