Now install the new flooring but keep it about a inch from the first filler strip.
Set cabinet on cabinet jack hold cabinet level then fasten to wall studs with 2 inch drywall screws and finishing washers. Level and clamp it to the adjacent cabinet and screw it to the cabinet and the wall. Level and mount the cabinet to the wall with a 3 inch 10 screw. Finally install the cabinets on both strips and attach the toekicks.
Kitchen floor cabinets photo 9. Drill four holes through back of cabinet which correspond to the stud locations. Orient the first peninsula cabinet at a right angle to the wall. Screw a strip of the same thickness to the floor next to the wall.
Insert a shim if needed to level. Mark the position of the second cabinet. There s a good reason to do this. Drill a 3 16 inch pilot hole at the stud locations through the back panel and into the stud.
