Kitchen Aid Dishwasher Venting Onto Cabinets

I have a 665 1397 kenmore ultrawash dishwasher.
Get shopping advice from experts friends and the community. Unit has been installed for about 1 5 years. There is a water inlet that steam can get out of during the dry cycle. I removed it recently to have new kitchen floors put in.
Cut matching hardwood fillers to span this gap on each side or only one side if the dishwasher looks balanced when pushed to. The dishwasher hose must connect to the sink drain before the drain s p trap. A failed vent assembly is not the only source of steam venting into onto cabinets. Any additional condensation either on the unit or in the cabinets indicates an improperly installed dishwasher or a leaking seal.
The circulation of that air will help to dry the dishes. It appears that some vapor or steam or heat from the unit has started to crack. The dishwasher hose is fitted onto the ribbed branch fitting and secured with a hose clamp. This model seems to have less steam coming out from the vent compared to older ones.

Upon removing it i noticed that the washer had damaged the kitchen cabinet to the left of the unit. Just another answer regarding kitchenaide dishwashers with the side vent in the door after spending 1700 00 cdn plus taxes for what i thought was one of the better dishwashers on the market i am ready to start over again with another brand. If installed properly the drying cycle should vent the water vapor from the drying dishes through the top of the dishwasher door. Air that normally flowed out of that vent hole on the inside panel of the dishwasher will now be blown down the vent tube along the left side of that front door and back into the dishwasher through the bottom of the door.This is a known issue with those dishwashers. The front of the unit may become slightly moist but that should be the extent of it. There isn t a valve or anything to prevent moist air from escaping the washer tub through the water inlet. This solution from kitchenaid is to replace the insulation blanket with one that has a plastic bag covering it that s supposed to keep the moisture from rotting your cabinets.
If the hose connects after the p trap sewer gasses can flow up into the dishwasher hose and into the dishwasher. We have had 3 service calls on the unit unit is 2 ye. Measure the gap between the dishwasher and cabinets on both sides.
